Catherine has a fine arts education and is a painter as well as creating other artwork, including a hologram and installation pieces. Her artwork has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Canada and Mexico.

Highlights include a hologram called "Mother of Songs..." in Hololocalization at Interference Hologram Gallery, Toronto; "AutArky" installation in A Life of Its Own at El Centro Nacional de las Artes, Mexico City; and portraits in Cameron Culture, Gallery 101, Ottawa.

Catherine currently exhibits annually on Thanksgiving weekend as part of the Perth Autumn Studio Tour . Catherine's oil on canvas paintings focus on the natural environment that inspires her: plants, animals, landscapes and people. She has done a number of portrait commissions of people and pets and would be happy to provide a free quote.

Catherine currently works in Perth, Ontario as an Instructional Designer of online courseware.

Catherine has held progressive positions in creative services, administration, education management and artist-run-centres since 1989, including Director of Education at the International Academy of Design & Technology, Ottawa; Dean of Students and Chair of Computer Graphics/Co-Coordinator of Computer Animation at the International Academy of Design, Toronto; Administrative Director and Workshops and Publicity Coordinator and Manager of Creative Services and Senior Instructional Designer at dominKnow Learning Systems.

Her responsibilities have included team and project management, online course design, program evaluation, curriculum development, student and faculty liaison, program submission and grant writing, as well as coordinating events such as orientations, exhibitions and graduation ceremonies.

Catherine has also taught design and computer graphics courses, including college-level courses at the Ontario College of Art and Design and the International Academy of Design & Technology. She taught art courses and workshops for children including at the Artmakers Studio Gallery in Port Elmsley, North York School Board, Toronto French School, and John Wanless School in Toronto.

Some of the work Catherine has done as a professional designer includes graphics, layout, newsletters and consultation assistance for individuals, arts organizations and small businesses since 1994. Highlights include the booklet "Doing HomeWork: Educating Yourself as a Live/Work Tenant" for Toronto Artscape; VRAN newsletter design and layout, British Columbia; database design for Trinity Square Video, Toronto; and the Eclectic Calendar of Celebrations, Toronto.
